The work involved in this program will range from installing and configuring computer systems to diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and application problems remotely or in-person. And the best part? You'll be earning while you learn! Once an employer selects you as their apprentice, you'll receive valuable education while also being paid to work with them. You'll attend college one day per week, where you'll learn alongside other apprentices and compare company experiences and benefits.

Are you the right fit for this role? Each apprentice job advert is unique, but all seek individuals ready to thrive in a fast-paced workplace alongside other computing professionals. Afterwards, many apprentices are offered permanent positions, while others may choose to explore alternative companies. Entry requirements

• An apprenticeship vacancy in your chosen area. 
• You will have an interview. 
• These will be set by your employer, but typically include 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, plus a minimum grade 3 (D) in English & maths. 
• Completion of a full Level 2 Apprenticeship at Pass grade or above in a relevant area, or a minimum of one year’s relevant industry experience in ICT. 
• You must pass an initial assessment in English, maths & ICT.

Progression Information

After your apprenticeship, you may be able to study a course at college or university, such as a Network Engineer Higher Apprenticeship. Alternatively, you can use the skills and experience you have gained to progress further in your career.
