CAREERS INFORMATION, ADVICE & GUIDANCE
At Shipley College all learners have access to high-quality impartial careers information, advice, and guidance to make decisions about the next step that is right for them and to aspire to achieve their full potential. The careers program delivered focuses on progression to learning at the next level and developing skills, knowledge, and experiences for employment.
In particular, in line with the Government's Careers Strategy which applies to learners in further education up to and including the age of 18 and 19-25 year olds with a current Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in place, will receive a careers program designed to meet the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks.

LMI FOR ALL - 'CAREEROMETER'
Careerometer can be used to explore and compare occupations and identify potential careers.
You can find out information relating to pay, weekly hours of work and future employment prospects for different occupations, as well as description of the occupation.
Simply type in the title of the job you are interested in and the widget provides a series of options from which you can select the most relevant to you. You can then look up another two occupations and compare. You can also select ‘display the UK average’ and compare the information with the occupation you have selected.
