Games students visit UK's largest gaming convention

EGX is the UK’s largest gaming convention that showcases the latest big-budget, pre-release games on a variety of consoles. The public gets the opportunity to play big-name brands, as well as smaller indie games.

In October, our Games Design students and staff headed to EGX in London to gain an insight into the ever-growing games industry. They had the chance to play on leading consoles and PCs including the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and VR, and the Nintendo Switch.

The Rezzed Zone, Rezzed Sessions, Fringe Theatre and EGX Theatre allowed students to follow informative panel sessions on video game creation and the games industry at large.

In the Careers Fair, students met with employers in the industry, publishers and universities who advised on how to turn games development into a career.

It was a great experience for them all and they are looking forward to attending next year (hopefully)!
