Our College Learning Resource Centre Team is always keen to promote the benefits of reading and writing and launched a World Book Night Competition for staff and students. This gave everyone the chance to share what they were reading and to even compose a written piece themselves. This latter challenge was to either write 500 words for the first part of a story or to write a poem about their thoughts and feelings during lockdown.
The entries received demonstrated the imaginative talents of our students who were clearly keeping their minds creative!
Sophie was the winner with her lockdown poem called ‘20/20 Vision’, Furheen and James were the two runners up. Take a look at the winning entries below.
Well done to everyone who took part!
