Congratulations to the new Chair of WYCC & LCR

Alongside his role as Principal of Shipley College, we are delighted to announce that Nav Chohan has taken on the role of Chair of the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges - a partnership of further education colleges who collaborate with employers, educators and policymakers to meet the skills needs of the Leeds City Region.

In addition, he has also taken on the role of Chair of the Leeds City Region Skills Network - a partnership of colleges, higher education institutions, plus private and voluntary sector skills providers across the Leeds City Region.

Collectively, colleges want to make the most positive impact they can - for employers, the workforce and the wider community. Increasingly, this can only be done in partnership with employer networks, other colleges and community groups. As Chair of the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges I am greatly looking forward to supporting the great work that these partnerships achieve across the region. As Chair of the Skills Network, I want to ensure that the voice of the wider training sector is heard with the City Region's employer networks. These are exciting times!
