WHY CHOOSE THIS COURSE
Shipley College's Printmaking course is designed for those who want to be introduced to a range of printmaking techniques.
You will develop the basic skills required to continue using them after the course.
Examples include:
Monoprinting – using oil based relief printing inks you will produce one-off multicolour prints working with paper stencils and our presses.
Collograph – you will use collage to create images that will be printed using our presses.
Screen Printing - you will be supported through transferring your image onto a screen coated with photosensitive emulsion, image registration and printing in two colours using water-based inks.
Linocut – Single colour. Using specialist cutting tools you will be shown how to safely cut lino and print using relief inks, rollers, presses, barens and burnishers.
You will learn each of the processes in a supportive environment with all equipment and materials provided as part of the course fee.
Unfortunately, no reduction in fees is available for this course. Once enrolled, you will need to pay by clicking on a link sent by email. We will direct you to Ticket Tailor in order to pay.
