Are you interested in a career in teaching? Our Becoming a Teacher in Further Education, Adult and Community Learning qualification is the perfect starting point. The course covers the key responsibilities of a Teacher, including theories and approaches to learning, motivation, and assessment. This 13 week course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to plan, teach and assess learning.

Taught one evening a week at Shipley College in wonderful Saltaire, this is suitable for those who are looking for a change of career and have always wondered if teaching is for them. It is also beneficial for those who are already training others as part of their current role and would like to gain a recognised teaching qualification.

Upon completion of this course, you will gain an NCFE Level 3 Award in Education and Training, and will be equipped with the necessary skills to start teaching in Further, Adult and Community Learning. This course can lead to employment opportunities as a teacher, It also offers progression opportunities to the Certificate in Education /Professional Certificate in Education.

Entry Requirements: A Level 3 qualification in the subject you are planning to teach. Preferably Level 2 English and maths but sufficient level of English to complete the required written assignments.
