Shipley College's Esports programme celebrated a significant milestone yesterday, formally entering into a strategic partnership with the prestigious London College of Esports.

The partnership was solidified during a visit to London, where representatives from Shipley College engaged in a series of activities designed to integrate them into the London College of Esports' Schools and Colleges Partnership Programme. Shipley College students from Esports, Games and Art were given exclusive access to the London College of Esports' state-of-the-art facilities, providing a firsthand look at the professional environment of competitive gaming. They also gained valuable experience with industry-standard software, crucial for developing skills in game design, broadcasting, and event management.
Further enriching this experience, the partnership has already secured a guest lecture from a Rocket League Champion, offering Shipley College students direct insight into the strategies and dedication required to succeed at the highest levels of Esports.
Looking ahead to the 2025-2026 academic year, the collaboration promises even more exciting prospects. The London College of Esports will send guest speakers to Shipley College, delivering specialized sessions that will undoubtedly inspire and educate students.
