SHIPLEY COLLEGE CELEBRATES T LEVELS WEEK 2025
With 13th-17th October marking T Levels Week across the country, we are proud to be joining the celebrations.
Shipley College was one of the first providers to offer T Levels back in 2020, and has since had various students progress to full-time careers and first-class university degrees.
Since then, the College now offers a whole range of T Levels for young people looking for an ‘on the job’ alternative following GCSEs.
Speaking about T Levels, Jacqui Smith (Minister for Skills) recently said: “They are excellent qualifications based on employer-led standards and they break down barriers to opportunity, giving young people hands-on experience through industry placements.
“T Levels are also helping to build talented workforces - around a third of T Level students who progress into employment get jobs with their T Level Industry Placement employer.
"I would encourage young people to consider taking a T Level as a fantastic route into a rewarding career."
T Levels are two-year courses, broadly equivalent in size to 3 A levels and accruing UCAS points. They are developed in collaboration with employers to ensure students become equipped with the skills they need.
Offering a mix of classroom learning and real work experience, with at least 45 days spent on an industry placement with an employer, students can progress straight on to skilled work, higher study or apprenticeships.
At Shipley College, T Level students continue to achieve amazing results and move on to a variety of next steps. High-achievers include Nathan Hannah (First Class Honours, Newcastle University) and Fouad Rabah (First Class Honours, Manchester Metropolitan University).
As we witness new T Level successes each academic year, we’re excited to see what the future holds for our current cohort in 2025/26.
