Preparing to work in Adult Social Care NCFE Level 1 Award (Community Provision)

Are you thinking about a career in adult health & social care? This course will give you an introduction to the sector by covering the different jobs, responsibilities and services within it. You will develop an understanding of the core values and principles as well as the skills and attitudes needed. You will also cover the role of communication and the importance of valuing the individual being cared for. You should have a good level of English as you will be expected to do an initial assessment or have an informal discussion before you start the qualification. You will be assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a range of methods, such as viewing multimedia, sharing ideas on collaboration boards and creating workbooks. You do not need to be in work, this is a knowledge only qualification. On completion you can progress onto the Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care or the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care. This qualification does not qualify you to work but does provide a starting point for deciding whether a career in the sector is right for you. Your ability to access these online lessons via the internet and a suitable device such as a laptop, pc or chromebook will ensure you are able to fully access these virtual platforms and will be checked during the enrolment process.
