Is There Anything Else I Need To Know
Volunteering opportunities in local churches, such as Warm Spaces - these areas provide a safe warm space where people can come together and enjoy a warm meal and social interaction. Our students help with setting up the space and serving food and drinks to local people interacting and clearing down at the end of the day.
Former Students
We nominated our student Adam for an Active Citizen Award for volunteering and community work. He came in 3rd place out of lots of young people in the Bradford area and was invited to a presentation event at the The Bradford Hotel.
A Favourite Moment Of Last Year Was
Our students get the opportunity to visit a vineyard near York and experience fruit picking. The students love these days, and they thrive on the competition of who can fill the most buckets with grapes and if they can beat last year's target. This year we had mixed weather on ths visit, rainy and cold, then a blue sky day with lots of sunshine, but this did not change the motivation of the students in any way.
