Every day over four million journeys are made across the 20,000 miles of track in England, Scotland and Wales.
Britain has Europe’s fastest-growing railway and needs trained, hard-working individuals who are prepared to work round-the-clock to keep the system moving safely, reliably and efficiently. We work in partnership with YFL, Northern Rail and Network Rail to offer two pathways into the rail industry; one in Rail Engineering and the other in rail support roles.
“Completing this course has been life changing. I didn't have any experience or many qualifications so this course was perfect for me to give me a chance in a new career. I haven't been out of work since I qualified with Shipley College, working in Tadcaster, Leeds, Morley and York. There is plenty of work, you just have to work hard and be committed to the job."
- Richard Burns PTS Track Engineer
