Part Time

As one of the few Horticultural education providers in Yorkshire, we are proud to offer a wide range of qualifications in our purpose-built greenhouses and local community allotments.

Whether you’re looking to take on a new challenge, or want a career change, we have the course to suit you. Our friendly tutors have a wealth of industry experience for you to learn from, with most still working on their own businesses outside of the classroom! With a flexible class schedule, it’s never been easier to take on multiple courses simultaneously. Our curriculum has been designed in a way that means you could study different qualifications during the week and fast-track your way to a new adventure.

“I’ve been at Shipley College since 2018 but I started teaching in 2005. I got into teaching as I wanted to share my passion for Horticulture with other people, and inspire them to get into an industry that is full of opportunity and adventure for those willing to seek it. I love meeting new people and watching them develop their skills and knowledge at the College.”

- Helena Glassup, Horticulture Tutor
