Britain has Europe’s fastest-growing railway infrastructure and needs trained, hard-working individuals to keep the system moving safely, reliably and efficiently. We work in partnership with YFL, Northern Rail and Network Rail to offer two pathways into the rail industry; one in Rail Engineering and the other in rail support roles.

Get into Rail - Support Service Roles

A 3-week pre-employment training programme to support unemployed individuals into support service roles within the Rail industry, providing regular job opportunities within Bradford and Leeds.

This includes work experience at Northern Rail, Network Rail and Carlisle Support Services, and a Level 2 Customer Service qualification.

Job roles include:

  • Train Presentation Operative
  • Customer Service Advisor
  • Gateline Assistant
