Student Life

Make the most of your College Years!

College life is more than just coursework! What you do outside of the classroom really counts. We have an amazing range of clubs and sporting activities both inside and outside of the classroom.

You will also have the opportunity to get involved in social events, trips, fundraising, volunteering and hobbies. You may even want to join our Student Council.

Get involved and make the most of College life!

Social Spaces

We have areas where you can meet up with friends for a chat, chill out and relax in all our main buildings. In our Exhibition Hall and Salt Rock Cafe, there are canteens selling hot & cold food and drinks. In the Jonathan Silver Building, there are hot drinks and food available in a student-run cafe. As our campus is based in the centre of Saltaire Village, we also have some great places on the doorstep. You can go to Roberts Park to relax, explore Salts Mill and take advantage of all the cafes and shops in the area.

Enrichment Activities

There is a lot going on at lunchtime and after classes finish, most of which is free of charge. Activities include badminton, table tennis, football, ultimate frisbee, dodgeball, boxercise, basketball, cricket & netball, circuit/fitness training, pool and LAN (local area network) & console gaming.

These activities change regularly depending on their demand and if we don’t offer your favourite hobby/club, tell us and we’ll see if we can set it up. You can also get involved in annual fundraising events such as Comic Relief or Children in Need.
