Access to Higher Education - Health & Social Care - Daytime



This course is for adults who don’t have the academic qualifications for entry into university. It’s delivered on Monday & Tuesday 9:30am - 4.00pm and has two pathway options

Health & Social Care Pathway: Study Level 3 modules in Human Physiology, Psychology & Professional Health Care Practice. This can lead to university study in Nursing (Adult/Mental Health/Children), Midwifery, Paramedic Science & Radiography. 

Entry requirements Age 18+, English & Maths GCSE grade 4 (C) or above, or Functional Skills Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy 

Social Sciences Pathway: Study Level 3 modules in Social Issues in Health & Psychology, & Professional Healthcare Practice. This can lead to university study in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology & Criminology, Youth & Community Development, Welfare, Counselling & Psychology, Childhood & Youth Studies and Primary Education. 

Entry requirements Age 18+, English GCSE at a grade 4 (C) or above. If you don’t have Maths GCSE/FS qualification, enrol onto a GCSE/FS course to run alongside the Access course - contact Enrolments 01274 327327

Once we receive your enquiry an application form will be emailed to you, followed up by an interview with a team member

For 18 years old, this course is fully funded

For 19-23 and studying your first Level 3 course, you may be eligible for full funding
