‘Shipley College was my first choice for the part-time Health & Social Care Level 2. I received a warm welcome at an Open Day where I spoke directly to the course tutor about what the course entailed.
After being out of education for over ten years, I was a little anxious about coming back to college, especially to study in a subject which was new for me. I have no regrets about my decision and have learnt so much which is beneficial to my career.
Enrolments, tutors and assessors have all been very supportive and encouraging throughout my course and helped me succeed. I will admit there have been moments where I have doubted myself, but my tutor had faith in me and was there to reassure me of my abilities.
When I completed my course, my employer offered to fund me to do the next level up however I decided to fund myself in order to be able to continue to the Level 3 at Shipley College because of the support I received.
My experience of Shipley College has been motivating and inspiring, and I look forward to continuing on to the next level.’
