We welcome applications from private/external candidates. This means you do not have to be studying at Shipley College to sit an exam here. We offer exams to private candidates in both Maths and English Functional Skills, Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), AS Level Psychology and GCSE English and Maths to name a few.
We appreciate that taking exams can be stressful, especially in an unfamiliar setting, so we will do everything we can to ensure that the process is hassle-free and that you feel welcome & relaxed. All examinations take place in our main college buildings in the World Heritage site of Saltaire. The College is located 5 minutes walk from Saltaire train station, so it is ideal for students based in the West Yorkshire region looking for a private exam centre.
