The Budget Conscious Kitchen

After splashing out for the festive season, January can be a time for tightening our belts and watching the budget, so every penny counts. If you would like some help with planning and preparing delicious family meals that won’t break the bank, then this is the course for you. We will plan, prepare and produce budget-friendly meals using fresh and store cupboard ingredients, learn to batch cook, use the freezer to its full advantage and transform leftover ingredients in to quick, easy-to-prepare weekday meals. You will need to provide your own ingredients every week, (please expect to spend an average of £5 per week) and a container to take your meals home. For the first week only, just bring a container as the ingredients will be provided. Please note, this course was planned during the pandemic. We are moving some teaching and support online, however, where this is not possible, courses may be taught in college following social distancing requirements.
