Gain a solid grounding in the skills needed for a career in the sports industry. Participate in different sports and study a wide range of areas including sport psychology, working with children, fitness testing and sports coaching, focusing on the technical and tactical awareness of the athlete in sport. You are encouraged to be reflective - looking at your own performance, setting personal targets, monitoring & evaluating an action plan to improve performance.
You will also gain valuable work experience as part of this course. You will be required to buy recommended College sportswear as well as a football kit, boots and trainers. You are expected to make a contribution to the cost of organised tours or visits relating to the course. We have a long standing affiliation with Guiseley Academy Football Club. As a student on any of our sport courses, you may have the opportunity to participate in trials for Guiseley Academy. Those who meet the requirements of trials may be offered a place within the Academy alongside their studies.

4 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English & maths. If you do not have grade 4 (C) or above in both subjects, the minimum for the other subject is grade 3 (D) or a full Level 2 at Pass grade or above with maths & English grades equivalent to those stated above. Students with grade 3 (D) in either English or maths will be expected to re-take that subject in Year 1.
