Preparing to work in Adult Social Care NCFE Level 2 Certificate (Community Provision)

Develop the professional knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to work in this sector or to support an interest in working in adult social care. Topics include: communication, the role of the social care worker, handling information, health & safety, person-centred care, safeguarding and duty of care. On this intensive course, you need to have a good level of English and need to evidence a Level 1 English qualification or above however you will take an assessment on the first day of class and the course tutor will make a judgement based upon current English ability and skills. You will need to attend classes two days per week - Monday and Wednesday. After successfully completing this course, you could progress into paid or voluntary work in adult social care. If you wish to progress on to the Care Level 2 Diploma, you will need to have recently completed a minimum of 140 hours of work experience and then maintain a minimum of 14 hours a week during the course. Delivery yet to be finalised. Please note, these courses were planned during the pandemic. Where online teaching is not possible, courses may be taught in college following social distancing requirements.
