Leader in Adult Care Level 5 Apprenticeship

This is a recognised qualification for people managing Health & Social Care services. You will attend College for one day per week for 18 months. This qualification provides you with the knowledge & skills needed to effectively manage practice and lead others in adult care services. It covers a wide range of topics including leadership & management, governance & regulatory processes, quality assurance, safeguarding, protection & risk, communication, relationships & partnership working, person-centred practice for positive outcomes, professional development, supervision & performance management, decision-making skills, entrepreneurial skills & innovation and the management of specific services. It will improve your employment prospects and enable you to work in a variety of Health & Social Care settings. This course starts on: 16/09/21, 04/11/21, 13/01/22, 03/03/22, 28/04/22, 09/06/22 Entry requirements: You must be 18 or over, and if you do not have a Level 2 qualification in Maths & English prior to the start of the course, you need to pass an initial assessment to confirm your academic ability. You need to have basic ICT skills to complete the electronic portfolio for this course; if your skills are weak, please inform us so that we can provide support. You need to have at least one year’s current experience working at Level 3 and having been supported by your employer to undertake some management duties. You also need a Health & Social Care qualification and/or have an existing relevant Level 3 qualification. As you will be assessed in the workplace, you are expected to remain in the same Health & Social Care setting on a paid basis for at least 21 hours per week, for the length of the course. We will obtain a reference from your employer prior to you starting the course. Upon completion of this qualification, you can progress to a variety of management roles in adult care of further or higher education.
