This course is a great introduction to the skills and knowledge you need to form a solid base for a lifelong career in horticulture. It offers something for everyone.
Topics include plant identification & knowledge, garden maintenance and how to use specialist tools & equipment. You can be creative and learn how to design beautiful outdoor spaces as well as landscaping skills including, turfing, lawn & hedge maintenance, planting & mulching. You will complete a work placement to build up practical hands-on experience. You will need safety boots and warm clothes for working outdoors.

2 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English or a full Level 1 at Pass grade, plus a GCSE grade 3 or above in English. You will attend an interview and further assessment to check if the course is right for you. A keen interest in working outside with plants would be ideal for this course.
