As you develop the personal skills and qualities you need for the sector, this course is a great starting point if you would like to become a health or social worker. The range of topics include human lifespan development, health & social care values, promoting health & wellbeing, the impact of nutrition on health & wellbeing, equality & diversity in health & social care, individual rights in health & social care, human body systems & care of disorders, and services in health & social care. There are two externally set assessments which you will take in January or May. You will also have the opportunity to study GCSE maths and English. You may be required to attend a work experience placement during the year.
