Golf Greenkeeper Level 2 Apprenticeship

As a Golf Greenkeeper, you will be responsible for the maintenance, care and overall appearance of a golf course.

You will learn how to maintain a good quality playing surface as well as undertaking environmental and ecological operations, bunker maintenance, laying turf, planting trees & shrubs plus developing wildlife habitats.

Topics will cover the preparation of the golf course for play, using specialist equipment to maintain & renovate turf surfaces, applying turf treatments & controlling weeds, fungal diseases and pests & turf disorders, alongside maintaining & renovating bunkers, maintaining drainage & irrigation systems, how to identify plants and trees, plus soil & plant biology and basic computer skills.
