This apprenticeship is an ideal starting point for those who want a career in Early Years, working with children aged 0 to 5 years.
You will develop the skills to care for, protect and support children’s development and learning. It is key that you have a responsible attitude and enjoy working with children, alongside being fully committed to this type of work.
You will cover topics such as promoting play in early years settings, supporting care routines for babies and young children, developing positive behaviour and supporting the child in preparing for school. After this apprenticeship, you are able to move on to the Level 3 Early Years Educator Diploma or the Early Year Educator Apprenticeship.
This qualification is aimed at people who wish to work, or are working, with children aged 0-5 (with a working knowledge of 5-7 year olds). You will ensure children are looked after, kept active, happy and nourished, while helping them to develop social & practical skills. This will prepare you to work in childcare roles such as Early Years Practitioner and Room Leader.
