Course Description

If you are creative, interested in film, games, television and music, this course is for you. You will develop the skills needed to succeed in this fastpaced and dynamic industry through a combination of research and practical projects. You will explore areas such as animation, videography, and graphic production using industry-standard software. You will create posters & videos and use social media to promote events in the local area. Previous students have had the opportunity to visit the National Science & Media Museum to see creative media in action and listen to talks from professionals.

Entry Requirements

2 GCSEs at grade 3, to include English. Maths must be at grade 2 or above or A full Level 1 at Pass grade, plus a GCSE grade 3 or above in English. You will attend an interview and further assessment to check if the course is right for you. In addition, you will need to have a positive attitude and a keen interest in creative media production. You will be invited to attend a ‘taster’ session to find out more about the course.

Progression Information

On successful completion of the course, you could progress to a Creative Digital Media Level 3 course, or other Level 3 courses such as Art & Design, Business or Computing. You could also use the skills and experience you have gained to find employment in the Media industry.
