Children & Young People's Workforce Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)

Would you like to work with 0-19 year olds? This course is an ideal starting point for those who want a career in an Early Years, Care or Education role, and even those who want to train to become a teacher. You will develop the skills to care for, protect and support children & young people’s development and learning. You need to enjoy working with children and to have a responsible attitude and commitment to this type of work. Please note, unless you already have grade 9-4 (A-C) in maths and English, you will need to study up to Level 2 in these subjects and also ICT.

• You should be at least 16 years old. • A job as an apprentice in an Early Years setting for a minimum of 30 hours a week (this will include one day in College per week). • You must pass an initial assessment in English, maths & ICT. • You will have an interview. • A clear Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at the start of the course.
After your apprenticeship, you could secure work or choose to train further with the Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3).
