Cabin Crew NCFE Level 2 Certificate

This brand new qualification has been developed with the aviation sector for those who wish to work as cabin crew. It promotes good practice in cabin crewing by setting a nationally recognised standard which is endorsed by major airline companies. NCFE has negotiated with a number of airlines to ensure that successful candidates are given the opportunity to be interviewed for positions available within the sector. There are no specific entry requirements, however, all candidates will be interviewed to ensure they have a suitable standard of written and spoken English to be able to complete assessments to the required standard. You must be 16 years of age or over and younger students are able to study the course but will need to be 18 before applying to work in the industry. You will investigate the airline industry and will develop the necessary skills required to carry out the role of air cabin crew. Practical learning will take place in our mock airline cabin alongside classroom study. The course content includes five assessed units - working as cabin crew, airline health, safety & security, aircraft emergency situations, dealing with passengers on board an aircraft, cabin service, selling techniques and making passenger announcements on board an aircraft. During the course, you will be expected to carry out a number of assessments that will include practical role plays, professional discussions, research and written assessments. You will also be expected to carry out some research and assignments in your own time. The course runs for 25 weeks (1 evening per week) from September to April. There will also be some full-day workshops later in the course that will be organised in negotiation with your tutor. NCFE’s Travel qualifications are endorsed by Hays Travel and have been developed with industry experts Swissport to ensure their high quality.
