Course Description

You will develop your knowledge and skills with topics including double-entry bookkeeping, preparation of final accounts for the sole trader and partnership, costings, professional ethics, indirect tax and spreadsheets. You could progress straight in to job roles such as a Trainee Accounting Technician or Assistant Accountant. Alternatively, you can move on to further study in a subject related to accounting, such as an AAT Professional Diploma in Accountancy.

Entry Requirements

• An apprenticeship vacancy in your chosen area. • You will have an interview. • These will be set by the Employer, but will typically include 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above with English at minimum grade 3 and maths at minimum grade 4. • You must pass an initial assessment in English & maths.

Progression Information

You can go on to study a course at college or university, such as the Professional Accounting Technician Higher Apprenticeship Level 4. Alternatively, you can use the skills and experience you have gained to progress further in your career.
