This Creative Practice course is a new qualification that has been developed with industry experts and focuses on helping you to explore your full potential through hands-on learning.
You will study the key principles of art & design including image and markmaking, space and form, moving image and lens, text & image.
In year one, you will create work through an exploration of art & design skills, followed by a project working to a set brief. In year two, you will gain an understanding of the creative industry, employment options and higher education routes. To complete your course you will be given a brief and be expected to take a concept from initial idea to final result, challenging what you have learnt.

4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English & maths. If you do not have grade 4 or above in both subjects, the minimum for the other subject is grade 3 or a full Level 2 at Pass grade or above with English & maths grades equivalent to those stated above. Students with grade 3 in either English or maths will be expected to re-take that subject in Year 1. A keen interest in art, design and creativity and a portfolio of artwork or sketch books.
After the course, you can study at college or university at a higher level, or use the skills and experience you have gained to progress further in your career in Art, Design or Fashion.
