Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship prepares you for work in Health & Social Care roles such as Support Worker or Care Assistant. You need to enjoy supporting others, have a responsible attitude and be committed. You will complete the Care Certificate, a Level 2 Diploma in Care and a self-reflection task at the end of your programme, which will be submitted to the End Point Assessor to prepare for your professional discussion. Please note, unless you already have grades 9-4 (AC) in maths and English, you will need to study up to Level 2 in these subjects.

• You should be at least 16 years old. • A job as an apprentice in a Health & Social Care setting for a minimum of 30 hours a week (this will include one day in College per week). • You must pass an initial assessment in English & maths. • You will have an interview. • A clear Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at the start of the course.
After your apprenticeship, you could secure work and progress within your chosen career or choose to train further with the Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship.
