This is the recognised qualification for people working in the Health & Social Care sector. The course is ideal for an experienced care assistant with some supervisory responsibility. You learn safeguarding & protection, responsibilities of a care worker, communication, duty of care, how to handle information, personal development, equality and inclusion, health, safety, wellbeing and person-centred approaches. It will improve your employment prospects and enable you to work in a variety of Health & Social Care settings. This course starts week commencing 07/11/22,09/01/23,06/03/23,24/04/23,05/06/23. Entry requirements: You must be 18 or over, and if you do not have a Level 2 qualification in maths & English prior to the start of the course, you need to pass an initial assessment to confirm your academic ability. To have basic ICT skills to complete the electronic portfolio for this course; if your skills are weak please inform us so we can provide support. You need to have at least one year’s current experience working in Health & Social Care and/or have an existing relevant Level 2 qualification. As you will be assessed in the workplace, you are expected to remain in the same Health & Social Care setting (on a voluntary/paid basis) for a minimum of 14 hours per week, for the length of the course. We, will obtain a reference from your employer prior to you starting the course. After successfully completing this qualification, you may wish to further develop yourself through a range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses or if you progress into management, you may wish to undertake the Leadership for Health & Social Care Level 5 Diploma.
