Many students are eligible for a full or partial fee reduction depending on personal circumstances, such as what previous qualifications you have, if you currently claim certain benefits or are unemployed. There have also been changes to the Government’s National Skills Fund that means more people than ever can qualify for free courses.
There is also support through the Learner Support Fund if you are 19+ to help with the cost of course fees, equipment, travel, and childcare.
Please note you will not be eligible for any fee reduction if you are in receipt of pension credits.
To apply for any of the fee reduction available, you need to live in the following West Yorkshire postcodes:
BD (with additional checks required for BD20, BD22, BD23 & BD24)
LS (with additional checks required for LS17, LS21-24 & LS29)
HX, HD, WF, OL14 and S72
When you enrol on a course with us, you need to provide proof of identification with one of the following;
• Valid Passport
• National Insurance Number (letter from DWP or NI Card)
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Bank Debit/Credit Card
If you haven’t lived in the UK/EU for three years or more prior to the start of the course, you will need to provide one of the following to confirm your settlement status and also complete an eligibility form during enrolment;
• Non EU/UK passport
• Valid UK residence ID card
• Home Office letter confirming visa status
