Being at College is different from being at school. It is a completely new start!

There are opportunities for you whether you’ve done well at school or not. We treat you like an adult. You can choose courses that let you study in a way that suits you. For example if you want a practical hand-on course, a mixture of work and study or a traditional academic approach we have something for you!

Student Services will help you with the change to college life; you will get your own personal tutor who is there to support you. The college also has a number of teams and societies you can join from the Football Team to the Student Council! Shipley College is also a member of the National Union of Students so you can get all sorts of benefits and discounts!!

Here at college you will have free time during the day for you to study in our resource centre, some Students also get a part time job. You can even borrow books and DVD’s from us!

Being at college can help you gain confidence, get a better job or go to university. We will support you in whatever you want to do!
