Children's Care Learning and Development BTEC Level 2 Diploma (0/5062/0)
Success on this course allows you to work in a supervised capacity as an âassistant licensed to practice. You develop practical skills and abilities in preparation for work. You will spend much of your time working on assignments based on realistic workplace situations. You will study areas such as children's growth and development, health issues, activities for children's play and professional practice. You will complete two days work experience each week during term time in a relevant setting, for example, in nurseries, crèches and reception classes.

Entry Requirements: 2 GCSEs grades A-D, including English or A Level 1 Diploma at minimum Pass grade, plus a GCSE grade D in English. - You will have an interview and further assessment to check the course is right for you.- You need to have a keen interest in working with children - You will also need to have a satisfactory Discloser Barring Service check (approx Â£46) completed at the start of the course.
After finishing the course, you can progress onto the BTEC Level 3 Diploma or find work in a nursery, family centre or play work centre.
